It is a lovely beach bordering the Vypeen Island and is ideal for swimming. The sea on the western side and the backwaters on the east give this upcoming tourist destination, a uniqueness which can be found only in Kerala. Thick coconut groves and Chinese fishing nets on the waterfront are added attraction to this beautiful beach. It is located in the North part of Vypeen Island in Ernakulam.

Rail: Ernakulam Junction, about one km from the main boat jetty.

Air: Kochi International Airport , about 20 km from Ernakulam town.

Road: Get into the bus from Ernakulam to Cherai through Goshree Bridge (45 minutes journey).
