Kerala is considered as one of the most sought after tourist destination in Asia due to its unique geographical features with forty four rivers, Arabian Sea in the west and Western Ghats towering 500 to 2700 m in the east. Its climate is equable. It is one the southernmost tip of India . It is located on the coast of Arabian Sea and is separated from the rest of the sub continent by the steep Western Ghats . The state lies between 8 degree 18 ‘and 12 degree 48 north latitude and 74 degree 52' and 77 degree 22' east longitude. The breadth of the state varies from 32 kms in the extreme north and south to over 120 kms in the middle. Beaches are serene and backwaters are beautiful emerald. Hill stations connected with wildlife are beautiful and exotic. The paddy fields and plantations are so green with enriched crops. There are qualitative, age old Ayrvedic health treatment centers here. The festivals here are beautiful. Society
People of Kerala are hundred percent literate. Health care systems are typical. Infant mortality is lowest and life expectancy is high. Kerala is considered India 's cleanest state. Kerala is divided into fourteen districts for administrative purpose. All of these districts provide tourism facilities and products selling facilities.

Short Guidelines:
Money: Any amount of foreign currency the visitors can bring.
Banks service: Normal working time is From 10.00 to 14.00 hrs every day except Sundays.
Credit cards are honoured in main hotels, restaurants and shopping centres.And the currency is Indian Rupee (INR).
Suitable time for visit: Monsoon (From October to April).
Rejuvenation programmes: From May to September.
Dress codes and behaviour: Cotton outfits with modesty, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion etc. Nudity is not allowed especially in any beaches of Kerala. It is a custom that people leave their footwear outside when they enter into any residing houses as a mark of respect.
Demonstrating affection in public like deep hugging or deep kissing is not an accepted practice in Kerala.
Food and health: All the standard restaurants serve variety of food including continental, Chinese, Indian and typical Kerala style.
Capital punishment including imprisonment is imposed for possession of narcotic drugs.
Even though the public tap water is purified, it is better to drink bottled drinking water or drinking water from houses or restaurants. Mineral water is available in sealed bottles. It is not advisable to drink water from slow moving streams, lakes or dams.
